Ladders are a great way for players of sports and games such as squash, tennis, badminton, billiards and computer games to find opponents to play at a similar skill level. Sports-ladder.net allows any club, society or group of individuals to set up a customised ladder for their activity so that ladder members can challenge and play each other. Players change positions depending on the results of games played and very quickly players find themselves appropriately ranked on the ladder so matches become more and more enjoyable.

The ladders are fully automated with challenges and results handled online. Every eight hours the ladder status is checked and reminders are sent out for overdue games. If a result isn't recorded within a time period of your choice the challenge will be automatically forfeited. All activities are confirmed by email.

You can either choose to download the software to run on your own server or just fill in this form to have your ladder hosted here. You can choose your own web address to access your ladder by selecting one of the available domains below and then creating a club/ladder name.

The ladder software is in use in many countries across the world. In time it should be possible to completely configure a ladder to any language. Currently there are translations (from 10% to 70% complete) in place for Swedish/Svenska, Dutch/Nederlands, French/Français, German/Deutsch, Danish/Dansk, Spanish/Español languages.If you are able to translate to any new language or build further on an existing translation please let me know.

One of the greatest successes of the ladder has been the way the user community has provided support to players, ladder administrators and those that install the software on their own servers. The software has changed to meet the needs of its users. Some change requests can be made almost instantly whilst others are logged for future attention.
