Welcome to the UCSF Squash Ladder! This site is not formally affiliated with UCSF, but rather is a site used to track results of squash matches between members who play regularly on the UCSF squash courts. Please use this site to record match results and find opponents who are close to your skill level.

PLEASE NOTE: When recording match results, several users have accidentally recorded them incorrectly, entering the game scores in the wrong order. To record the score correctly, please make sure that the order in which you enter game scores matches the order of the players in the "vs" text. So, for example, if the match is:

John Smith vs. Brawley Reishman

... and John Smith wins the 1st and 3rd games, and Brawley Reishman wins the 2nd, 4th, and 5th games, then the scores should be entered as follows:

9 - 5, 6 - 9, 9 - 2, 7 - 9, 3- 9

Once the results are saved, Brawley Reishman will be shown as the winner of the match.

You will have noticed a points score appear next to player names on the rankings page (if logged in). This is a trial points rating system based on the classic Elo system. Players will be awarded points for winning and lose points for losing depending on how difficult the system calculates your opponent to be. It will take a few games to settle down the scoring system. Currently the rating is displayed for information purposes only but in future it will be possible to arrange the ladder ranking system around this points score.
